Technical Writer

Job Description

Content Development:

• Write, edit, and update user manuals, technical guides, installation guides, online help, and other documentation.
• Create clear, concise, and comprehensive documentation for software, hardware, processes, and procedures.
• Proofread and edit documents for grammar, style, and accuracy.
• Test and validate documentation against software/hardware functionality.

Collaboration:

• Work closely with software developers, engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders to gather information and understand documentation requirements.
• Participate in planning and review meetings to understand project scope and timelines.

Qualifications:

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Ability to understand and convey complex technical information clearly and concisely.
• Proficiency in using technical documentation tools and software.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, or related field.
• Experience in a development environment, preferably in software, IT, or engineering.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with agile development methodologies.
• Familiarity with API documentation tools like Swagger or Postman.
• Basic knowledge of programming languages or scripting.
