Solution Architect

Key Responsibilities:

Architectural Design

• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into comprehensive architectural designs.
• Develop and maintain architectural blueprints, diagrams, and documentation that outline system components, interactions, and data flows.
• Ensure the architecture supports both current and future business needs, emphasizing scalability, performance, and maintainability.

Technology Evaluation

• Research, evaluate, and recommend technologies, frameworks, and tools that align with the company strategic goals.
• Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies to ensure our architecture remains modern and competitive.

Technical Leadership

• Provide technical leadership to development teams, guiding them in implementing architectural designs and best practices.
• Conduct code reviews to ensure adherence to architectural standards, code quality, and design principles.

System Integration

• Design and oversee the integration of various system components and third-party services, ensuring seamless communication and data flow.
• Address and resolve technical challenges related to system integration and interoperability.

Performance Optimization

• Identify and address performance bottlenecks within the system architecture.
• Design systems that can scale efficiently to meet growing demands, ensuring optimal performance under varying loads.

Security and Compliance

• Implement security best practices and ensure that the architecture adheres to relevant regulatory requirements.
• Design measures to protect data privacy, system integrity, and prevent unauthorized access.

Mentorship and Collaboration

• Mentor and support junior architects and developers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
• Work closely with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to ensure architectural alignment with business goals.

Continuous Improvement

• Continuously evaluate and improve the architecture based on feedback, metrics, and emerging technologies.
• Promote innovation and experimentation within the development teams.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 5+ years of experience in software development, with at least 2 years in an architectural or technical leadership role.
• Strong proficiency in software architecture principles, design patterns, and best practices.
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and microservices architecture.
• Proficiency in one or more programming languages (e.g., Java, C#, Python, JavaScript).
• Solid understanding of databases, both SQL and NoSQL.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
