The Chief Information Officer (CIO) leads the strategic direction and execution of technology and automation initiatives across Prudential Vietnam. The CIO’s purpose is to harness innovative digital solutions and intelligent automation to accelerate business growth, drive operational excellence, and deliver outstanding experiences for Distribution partners, Customers, and Staff. By aligning cutting-edge technology with organizational goals, the CIO ensures seamless, secure, and efficient processes that empower every stakeholder—enabling the business to respond swiftly to market changes, foster collaboration, and build a truly customer-centric and agile organization
Job Responsibility
Design the Prudential Vietnam (PVA) IT & Technology Roadmap & Strategy, to support the business achieve efficiency and business goals, while ensuring the alignment with Group Tech plan and Strategy.
Drive the execution of all IT & Technology solutions which delivers customer-centric experience.
Define and implement the IT & Technology Governance and Risk framework that covers all PVA business divisions;
Collaborate with PVA Operations to ensure a comprehensive customer & distribution (all channels) service & support framework that delivers a customer-centric focused organization;
Oversee, monitor & maintain all PVA IT systems, infrastructure (networks, computer systems, telecoms), process and transactions, back-end, governance and management to ensure optimal performance;
Drive continuous technology improvements across the business by assessing and reviewing business requirements, make recommendations for technology solutions and direct action plans to ensure effective implementation;
Continually scan technology trends and regulatory changes/challenges to ensure PVA develops and deploys leading-edge technology solutions and provide guidance to IT professionals and other staff within the organization;
Be responsible for business-related IT business projects to ensure compliance with local regulations and PVA governance / risk / security guidelines;
Build and maintain a robust Business Continuity Plan (BCP) and conduct annual testing to ensure the business continuity within the PCA & PVA frameworks.
People Management:
Recruit, build and develop an engaged, competent and effective team;
Conduct and document regular performance reviews and an annual reviews;
Implement open and clear lines of communication with the team through regular career development discussions with direct reports, in line with the PVA Performance Management Process;
Establish a framework to retain high-potential and high-performance team members, by identifying talent and implementing clear succession plans.
Risk Management:
Implement robust IT & Technology governance (IT processes & procedures) in close consultation with local (PVA) and Group Risk, Governance & Compliance guidelines and rules;
Be responsible & accountable for planning/execution of business objectives in conformity with risk management requirements and compliance with all internal and external regulations.
