Business Development Manager_Virtual Banking Platform (Ascend Money)
Responsibilities:
Drive Overall Platform: Develop and execute comprehensive business development strategies to drive user acquisition, transaction volume, and overall growth of the virtual banking platform. This includes taking ownership of the platform's business performance and ensuring alignment with company objectives.
Partnership Development: Identify, cultivate, and manage relationships with key stakeholders, including financial institutions, technology providers, e-commerce platforms, and other potential partners.
Market Analysis: Conduct in-depth market research and analysis to identify emerging trends, opportunities, and competitive landscape within the virtual banking sector.
Product Enhancement: Collaborate with product and technology teams to provide market insights and feedback to enhance the platform's features, functionality, and user experience.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, operations, legal, and compliance teams to ensure seamless execution of business development initiatives and a timely platform launch.
Regulatory Understanding: Stay abreast of relevant regulations and compliance requirements related to virtual banking and ensure all activities adhere to these standards.
Project Management: Oversee the business side of the virtual bank launch, working with cross-functional teams to ensure all milestones are met on time and within budget.
Risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential risks to the platform launch and ongoing business operations.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Engineering or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
Proven track record of successfully developing and executing business development strategies that drive significant growth and launching new products/platforms.
Strong understanding of the virtual banking landscape, including key players, trends, and technologies.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills with the ability to influence and persuade stakeholders at all levels.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to use data to inform decisions and drive results.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Strong network in the fintech or financial services industry is highly desirable.
Experience in Southeast Asian markets is a plus.
Fluency in English is required.
Demonstrated experience in managing complex projects with tight deadlines.
