Job Summary
This role is responsible for activities related to business development. This includes identifying new customers, handling RFQs, creating quotations, and tracking project progress. This role manages the process from creating samples, submitting them, gaining approval, and planning for mass production. The approved projects are then passed over to the designated sales staff.
1. Customer Development:
- Contact potential customers to introduce the company and to get RFQs.
- Be proactive in finding new business opportunities and understand customer needs in order to suggest appropriate HEV products.
- Track and report on competitors' actions.
- Enhance knowledge about products to confidently engage in customer discussions.
2. RFQ Management:
- Track RFQ progress and provide updates to the Assistant Manager/Manager.
- Develop quotations, monitor outcomes, and manage the sample approval phase up until the start of mass production.
- Hand off the approved project to the sales team, along with full documentation.
3. Customer Relationship Management:
- Make sure customers are satisfied by responding promptly and providing valuable insights.
- Possess a solid understanding of the customer's requirements.
- Coordinate internal resources to fulfill customer expectations.
- Establish trust through transparent and timely communication.
- Give customers frequent updates on delivery schedules and other pertinent details.
- Manage pricing and quantity adjustments, and produce any required amendment documents.
- Quickly communicate customer needs to the relevant internal departments.
Working Conditions
Work is performed within a manufacturing setting, with minimal exposure to risks.
Internal/External Contacts
• Internal: Coordination with Production, Engineering, Warehouse, IMPEX, and QA departments.
• External: Communication with local and international customers and suppliers.
