Business Analyst (Business Innovation)

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for gathering, analyzing and translating business strategy into technical requirements for development team.
• Support Feature owner with writing user stories.
• As Feature owners become stronger, fewer BAs will be required.
• Assist several Feature owners with technical translation of Feature backlog items.
• Offers technical expertise to Feature owner in several areas.
• Writing user stories
• Estimating business value and tech requirements of Feature backlog items.
• Facilitate scope change discussions and provide recommendations to Feature owners.
• Assist Feature owners in validating that business requirements are met.
• Document the process, requirements and solutions in a clear and concise manner.
• Work closely with the testing team to ensure that the solution meets the requirements and are of high quality.
• Work closely with project managers to ensure feature is delivered on time and within scope.

Qualifications:

• Demonstrated understanding or experience in technology development projects and experience working in structured project methodologies
• Must possess strong communication and leadership skills
• Ability to gather articulate and document business requirements, identify risks and manage trade-offs
• Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
• Several years' experience with technology and ability to facilitate communication between business and tech teams
• Engineering or technical background (through experience and education)
• Experience in a technical project environment
• Domain knowledge including understanding of technology and systems, knowledge of industry trends and familiarity with business strategy and goals for given Feature
