Joint Programs
Course Overview
Yale’s Joint Programs offer a unique opportunity for students to earn two prestigious degrees simultaneously. By combining an MBA from Yale School of Management (SOM) with a degree from one of Yale’s other renowned schools—such as the Yale Law School, Yale School of Medicine, Yale School of the Environment, Yale School of Engineering and Applied Science, or Yale School of Architecture—students receive an interdisciplinary education that prepares them for leadership roles across industries.
Students typically spend one year at Yale SOM to complete the MBA core curriculum, followed by one or more years in the other program, and one final year combining courses from both programs. This structure allows students to finish their dual degree in less time than pursuing each degree separately.
Throughout the program, joint-degree students have full access to Yale SOM’s Career Development Office (CDO), ensuring they receive support in securing internships, jobs, and further career opportunities.
Applicants must apply to and be accepted by both programs separately, and it is recommended to apply to both simultaneously for an integrated learning experience. Some flexibility exists for applicants, allowing them to apply to a joint program after starting one of the graduate programs.
