Course Overview

In the business world, effective decision-making is a key to success. In this course, leadership coach Mike Figliuolo will guide you through the art and science of making better business decisions. You’ll explore different decision-making styles—autocratic, participatory, democratic, and consensual—and learn when each is most effective.

Recognizing that decisions are often made in uncertain or ambiguous environments, Mike discusses four types of ambiguity and provides strategies to address them. This will help you understand what you don’t know, reduce risk, and prepare for contingencies.

A major part of the course focuses on involving stakeholders in the decision-making process. Mike introduces the RACI matrix (Responsible, Accountable, Consulted, Informed) as a tool for clarifying roles and ensuring all necessary parties are involved.

By applying the concepts learned in this course, you will be able to make decisions faster, incur less risk, and gain greater support from your team and stakeholders.
