Diploma in Computing
Course Overview
Purpose
The Diploma in Computing is a one-year (full-time) or two-year (part-time) program designed to be taken alongside your bachelor’s degree. It’s open to students from any discipline and does not require prior computing experience. The program equips you with essential IT and programming skills to complement your main field of study.
Curriculum
You’ll complete 100 credit points: two core subjects (such as Foundations of Computing and an advanced level-3 computing subject) plus six electives across levels 1–3. These electives cover topics like programming, software modelling, interface design, databases, web development, and basic AI or machine learning. Up to 50 points can often be cross-credited from your bachelor’s coursework, making it possible to finish without extending your graduation timeline.
