Master of Science Chemistry and Specialization Chemical and Environmental Toxicology
Course Overview
This dual-institution program is a collaboration between the University of Ottawa and Carleton University through the Ottawa‑Carleton Chemistry Institute. You’ll undertake advanced chemistry courses and specialized toxicology units, exploring the fate and effects of toxic substances across biological and environmental systems. The curriculum includes core chemistry classes plus specialized toxicology courses like principles of toxicology, ecotoxicology, environmental chemistry, and a required seminar.
You can choose between the standard thesis track (two years full-time) or an accelerated thesis stream (one year intensive). Courses are taught in English or French, and research takes place at both campuses.
