Why High-Paying Jobs Favor Strong Presentation Skills

Graduating is the starting point of a working life, but for many fresh graduates, “job hunting” can be confusing. They don’t know where to start, applications go unanswered, and after working for a while, they feel it’s not right. This article will help you start off on the right foot, avoid getting lost, and choose a job that suits you from the very first step.

Screenshot 2568-12-29 at 10.51.44.pngThe Traps of Fresh Graduates Applying for the Wrong Jobs

    • Applying for every position they see without considering whether it aligns with their field, skills, or what they studied, leading to jobs that do not meet long-term goals.

    • Choosing jobs primarily based on salary while overlooking opportunities for learning, training systems, and career growth paths.

    • Applying for positions that require experience beyond Entry Level, resulting in repeated rejections that damage confidence and lead to self-doubt.

    • Not studying the job content and responsibilities clearly before applying, leading to a mismatch between expectations and reality when starting the job.

    • Lacking a goal for which field they want to develop in, leading to job choices based on circumstances rather than future planning.

    • Feeling pressured by society and those around them, they quickly accept the first job they get without assessing its suitability for themselves.

    • Lacking sources of information or platforms that truly understand fresh graduates, leading to uncertainty about which jobs are suitable for their level of experience.

    • Working for a short time, starting to feel burned out and not seeing a growth direction.

    • Changing jobs frequently but still not finding the right one.

    • Wasting time, opportunities, and morale without knowing where the problem started.

How to Choose an Entry Level Job that Fits Your Field

Before applying for a job, try asking yourself these 3 questions:

    1. What fields can your area of study lead to? (It doesn’t have to be 100% aligned.)

    2. What “skills” do you want to gain from your first job beyond just salary?

    3. Does the organization have a training system? Fresh graduates should have the opportunity to learn, not just be thrown in to do things on their own immediately.

The recommendation is to look for positions that clearly state Entry Level / Junior / willing to accept fresh graduates.

Examples of Good Entry Level Jobs with Good Salaries and Growth Potential

1.HR Officer / Recruiter – Suitable for those interested in human resources, learning about organizational systems, recruitment, development, and can branch out into various paths such as HRD, HRBP, or HR Manager in the future.

2.Sales / Business Development – A job that offers rapid income growth through commissions, allowing skill development across various positions. It may start with a lower salary but provides “valuable experience in the long run” and can lead to future growth opportunities.

Negotiation, customer analysis, and building business relationships.

3.Marketing / Content / Social Media – Suitable for fresh graduates who enjoy creativity, gaining marketing and communication skills, and having a portfolio that can genuinely advance their career.

4.Admin / Coordinator – Learning about the overall functioning of the organization, coordination, and work systems, suitable for fresh graduates looking to build a strong work foundation.

5.Customer Service / Call Center – Practicing communication skills, problem-solving on the spot, and handling customers, which are essential skills applicable to many career paths.

Fresh graduates do not need extensive experience, but should include the following in their resumes:

    • Focus on skills rather than positions.

    • Include relevant projects from studies, internships, or activities.

    • Clearly state what you can do, not just what you studied.

    • The resume should be one page long, easy to read, and not cluttered.

Start Job Hunting in the Right Place, Avoid Getting Lost from the Start

Job hunting should not be just a trial-and-error process, but should start from platforms that truly understand fresh graduates.

Jobcadu is a job search platform for fresh graduates that serves as a hub for Entry Level jobs and positions that welcome new graduates, along with a system to help filter jobs that suit you. Easy application, all in one place. If you are starting your career, beginning in the right place from the start will help clarify your career path from the very first step.
