Responsibilities:
Team Leadership
- Oversee the existing AvroKO F&L team in Bangkok
- Mentor less experienced team members to help them grow into confident, knowledgeable, and capable F&L designers and to ensure their work meets the Client brief and quality objectives, project constraints as well as AvroKO’s brand of design
- Exchange relevant F&L knowledge with the AvroKO Interior Design team
- Direct and refine project specific designs by means of mood boards, sketches, detailing, 3D models, and materials
- Excellent knowledge of hospitality specific F&L design including (but not limited to) F&B, hotels, residential, product design and application, product and technical specifications
- Proficient with applicable codes, ordinances and regulations governing the design and installation of the specific product lines represented by AvroKO. This knowledge should include but not be limited to practical application of the IBC Electric and Fire Code
- Understanding of the entire design process and all practical and technical aspects of each step in the process including:
- Project initialization
- Programming
- Client & project management
- Custom furniture and lighting design
- Material specification
- Installation drawing preparation & coordination
- Project documentation
Coordination
- Responsible for overseeing the AvroKO F&L studio projects
- Oversee design coordination within AvroKO and with third parties i.e. between interior design, graphics and F&L
- Oversee design coordination with third parties i.e. between AvroKO and manufacturer/Owner's agents
- Coordination, budget, and quality control in-house and with suppliers and manufacturers
- Manage and coordinate F&L-related communications to and from manufacturers and consultants
Documentation
- Contribute to, coordinate, and oversee the production and delivery of quality and timely sets of presentations and contract documents including drawings, specifications, budgets, and reports as proscribed by the contract
Execution
- Collaborate with the in-house team to ensure conformance with AvroKO checklist requirements specific to each project design phase
- Oversee the F&L team in performing its construction administration services including:
- Responding to RFI’s and interpreting the contract documents to ensure the design intent is met
- Reviewing submittals, substitutions, and field conditions for conformance with design intent
- Attending and reporting on-site visits
- Resolving problems and issues that arise during production proactively

Required Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in furniture design or industrial design [or equivalent experience]
- 10+ years of contiguous employment experience
- 5+ years of management and mentorship experience
- Strong furniture and lighting design skills
- Experience in factory visits including quality assurance
- Experienced in project management
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Proficient with relevant design software & tools
