Senior Database Administrator (MS SQL)

Main objectives and Summary

• Work from Tues – Sat and may need to be on-call during Sunday and Monday (24*7) Participate in the administration and support of database management systems, as well as documentation
• Performance Tuning of MSSQL DBs in Financial Application area
• Support the application QRM’s backend (MSSQL)
• Support developers in the design, development and deployment of databases and their components
• Ensure compliance with data security procedures and best practices
• Evaluate and resolve complex incidents and problems encountered by users and manage end-to-end resolution while documenting solutions;
• Carry out “custom” requests that require more in-depth analyses;
• Ensure that alerts are taken care of and intervene if necessary;
• Work in collaboration with the different delivery teams to participate in improving solutions;
• Anticipate and proactively act on equipment change needs in order to meet specific needs;
• Ensure data security (access controls, privileges, etc.) according to practices established by higher levels;
• Participate in migration of DBs to AWS

Mandatory

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science data science
• More than 6 years of relevant experience in MSSQL database administration
• In-depth knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server databases
• Knowledge of Oracle databases
• Knowledge of AWS and RDS
• Knowledge of Unix
• Hands-on experience with Windows especially Powershell script and Active Directory
• Organizational skills - Priority management - Autonomy and resourcefulness - Analytical mind - Attention to detail and rigor
• Ability to work under tight deadlines
• Ability to work in a team and maintain good interpersonal relationships.
• Strong communication skills and fluent in English
