Project Officer - Green Digital Transformation for Wood Processing SMEs

Location: Hanoi or Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam

Contract: September 1, 2025 – August 31, 2028

This position involves the daily management of technology-related aspects for wood processing SMEs. Key responsibilities include establishing and overseeing SME digitalization support programs, providing technology guidance to help SMEs achieve business and climate goals (cost reduction, efficiency, circular economy, energy efficiency), and linking wood processing with sustainable resource use.

The Project Officer will offer technical advice and support organizational development, design activities for SME sensitization and training, develop strategic partnerships, and manage knowledge related to climate-neutral wood processing technologies. They will also monitor and evaluate activities, focusing on energy and resource consumption measurement, communicate strategically with stakeholders, procure and manage contractors, and handle procurement and invoicing according to GIZ regulations.

Further responsibilities include ensuring project implementation is on track, maintaining close communication with ministry partners, establishing digital SME networks, organizing learning journeys, and performing other project management and corporate focal point functions as needed.
