Material Procurement Specialist

The Category Sourcing Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring a consistent supply of high-quality materials while optimizing costs and maintaining sustainable sourcing practices. This position requires collaboration with suppliers, internal stakeholders, and quality control teams to support our manufacturing operations. The individual will support Sourcing Managers in the development and execution of category strategies, project management, and new product development. Key Responsibilities: • Conduct research to identify potential suppliers in both domestic and international markets. • Cultivate and sustain robust relationships with current suppliers. • Examine market trends, expenditure data, and supply chain dynamics that impact raw materials. • Keep an active project list and ensure accountability with other departments. • Oversee RFQs and RFIs with the vendor base. • Help manage contracts and pricing agreements with suppliers. • Observe supplier performance and adherence to quality standards. • Collaborate with quality control teams to ensure materials meet requirements. • Put into practice sustainable sourcing methods that comply with regulations. • Keep detailed records of sourcing activities and supplier relationships.
