Legal Counsel

General Responsibilities

• Review and negotiate commercial contracts for the DKSH Group’s Business Units and Functions
• Collaborate with the business, functions and other stakeholders to provide legal advice on general legal matters (which may include, amongst others, corporate/commercial/intellectual property (IP)/competition/labor/M&A/anti-trust laws, etc)
• Collaborate with the local legal counsels, local business teams and functions in the negotiation of contracts, resolution of legal issues and implementation of commercial policies
• Manage litigations/arbitrations, in cooperation with external legal counsels and represent the Group in legal proceedings to ensure DKSH's interests are well protected
• Investigate, prepare reports and highlight legal risks to the relevant stakeholders; provide recommendations as to how DKSH adequately mitigate legal risks
• Manage and execute Group/regional legal projects (including the drafting/implementation of new standard operating procedures, guidelines and manuals)
• Provide training on legal matters

Functional Skills And Knowledge

• Excellent knowledge of, contract and commercial law, corporate law, antitrust and intellectual property law with in-depth experience in distribution and agency contracts as an advantage
• Excellent writing and speaking skills in English
• Efficient, proactive, systematic and well organized, able to execute multiple projects simultaneously, attentive to detail, trustworthy and sensitive to other cultures
• Pronounced sense of adherence to quality even in hectic situations
• Demonstrate ability to handle highly sensitive and confidential information
• Based in our office in Bangkok
• Bachelor's degree in law
• Minimum three (3) to five (5) years’ experience in private practice or in-house legal department of multinational corporation
