IT Solutions Analyst Opportunity

1. Business Relationship Management

• Cultivate strong relationships and collaborate closely with the business community, leveraging commercial expertise to assess specific technology needs that enable various business functions.

• Share insights with the Line Manager to ensure alignment with established business goals and to contribute to formulating the right solution strategy for the Market and managing the demand for IT solutions and services.

• Provide clear and effective communication to all relevant parties.

2. Change Management

• Proactively identify potential business improvements and assist designated business power users in submitting formal IT requests to support these initiatives, ensuring adherence to JTI's IT process.

• Conduct initial assessments and offer timely feedback on potential issues and risks.

• Manage the analysis and implementation of subsequent requests for solution enhancements, following JTI's IT process.

• Support the Line Manager in coordinating with project teams for the implementation or modification of IT systems. Actively participate in implementing Market solutions that address business function requirements not currently met by existing IT systems, including coordinating programming interfaces between these solutions and IT systems.

3. Business Analysis

• Drive detailed functional and technical analysis of business transformation and change initiatives through proactive business engagement.

• Ensure all necessary documentation is completed in compliance with JTI quality standards.

• Gather business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.

• Manage the sign-off process and assist with effort estimation.

• Assist in preparing test scenarios and test cases.

4. Solution Design, Delivery, and Project Management

• Offer coordination support during the solution evaluation and selection process.

• Successfully complete assigned tasks during solution design and delivery, following established JTI quality standards and best practices.

• Help develop the operational support model and deliver the required knowledge transfer and solution documentation.

• Assist in planning and executing solution implementation projects.

• Coordinate onsite project activities, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations during project execution.

• Provide project administration support, including budget tracking, project documentation, task scheduling, and project logistics.

• Help IT Project Managers assess project readiness for go-live.

• Support the local rollout of IT solutions.

5. Security, Business Continuity, Compliance & Governance

• Stay informed on business initiatives that require technology implementation through partnerships with the IT user community, ensuring IT involvement from the outset.

• Monitor project compliance with IT standards, policies, procedures, and risk controls.

• Support the development, implementation, and execution of the IT Services component of the IT Service Continuity Plan.

• Contribute to the management of regular activities, including reviews, testing, and backup resource planning.

• Assist in evaluating the feasibility of using existing solutions to maximize benefits and minimize total cost of ownership.

• Provide support to evaluate the IT cost impact of proposed solutions, including comparative cost-benefit analysis.

• Support project budgeting, ensuring compliance with JTI guidelines, policies, and procedures.

• Assist the Line Manager in planning and executing IT budgets (for Business Application systems/services) and any necessary adjustments through the budget process.

6. Other: Supplier Management (Internal & External)

• Develop effective working relationships with all internal IT Service providers.

• Assist in selecting qualified third-party IT suppliers for solution delivery.

• Coordinate relevant procurement and billing tasks, ensuring adherence to Operating Guidelines, policies, and procedures.

• Provide feedback on supplier performance.
