The Role

RMIT Foundation Studies prepares students for Australian higher education, with subjects comparable to Australian year 12. Learning activities develop English, stream-specific knowledge, and study skills for university.

FS Teachers deliver the FS program, including assessment, tracking student progress, developing curriculum, and enhancing student experience.

Your Responsibilities

Learning and Teaching:

• Deliver professional and effective teaching programs.
• Support FS curriculum preparation.
• Assess student learning outcomes in various FS settings. Participate in marking and assessment moderation and validation.
• Record marks and grades per RMIT Vietnam processes.
• Identify at-risk students and help identify strategies to improve their learning.
• Provide student feedback on course progress.
• Demonstrate best delivery methods and assessment strategies.
• Contribute to orientation activities.
• Collaborate with stream colleagues on curriculum and assessment.
• Contribute to course review discussions.

Compliance:

• Monitor and record attendance and advise students on progress per RMIT Vietnam procedures. Apply child safety practices for students under 18.

Professional Development:

• Maintain, apply, and share current professional and pedagogical knowledge.
• Participate in the professional development program.

Professional Duties:

• Prepare, plan, and deliver lessons.
• Discuss with colleagues in meetings and workshops to support FS delivery.
• Liaise with students outside class for academic support.
• Collaborate with Team Leaders, Academic Advisors, and the Wellbeing Team to ensure a high-quality FS student experience.
• Complete administrative tasks, including replying to emails and phone calls.
• Work under the guidance of the Team Leaders Stream and Curriculum, and the Head of Program.
