Accounting Manager - Chief Accountant

Assignment Details: 5 Days a Week

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to lead and motivate the accounting team, enhancing departmental accuracy and efficiency. The Accounting Manager will oversee the daily accounting operations, delegate tasks, supervise accounting staff, and ensure the accurate recording, tracking, and reporting of financial information. Responsibilities also include recruiting, training, and motivating staff, developing and implementing departmental controls and procedures, and ensuring efficient department operations without compromising accuracy.

The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, honest, possesses strong leadership and interpersonal skills, and has a comprehensive understanding of accounting and financial regulations.

Job Responsibilities

Financial Reporting

• Ensuring the timely and accurate completion of month-end, quarterly, and year-end reports by overseeing the accounting department's daily activities.

• Maintaining accurate and complete financial records.

• Guaranteeing adherence to GAAP and current financial legislation in all accounting processes.

Financial Analysis

• Analyzing monthly financial data and reports to management or supporting the analytical process through monthly results analysis (budget vs. actual comparison).

• Identifying trends and recommending improvements. Analyzing key financial metrics and ratios to support decision-making processes.

Budgeting and Forecasting

• Supporting management in budget preparation, including coordinating activities across different departments, timeline planning, forecasting sales, fixed/variable costs, cash flow, capital expenditure, etc.

Cash Flow Management

• Developing accurate cash flow projections to anticipate future needs.

• Regularly monitoring and updating cash flow forecasts based on actual performance.

Audit Coordination

• Participating in external and internal audit activities, addressing audit inquiries, following up on deficiencies, and providing information as required by auditors.

Tax Compliance

• Collaborating with a Tax Agent to finalize and complete all mandatory corporate tax filings accurately and on time.

Internal Control

• Ensuring compliance with financial regulations. Implementing policies and procedures to mitigate financial risks and monitoring adherence to internal control requirements.
