Mutual Fund Analyst

Key Responsibilities:

1. Fund Research & Due Diligence

• Conduct in-depth analysis of mutual funds across asset classes (equity, fixed income, alternatives, etc.).

• Evaluate fund performance, risk metrics, style consistency, and investment philosophy.

• Assess fund manager track record, investment process, and operational capabilities.
  

2. Performance Monitoring

• Monitor and report on existing fund holdings, identifying drivers of performance and potential risks.

• Track benchmark comparisons and attribution analysis.
  

3. Market & Industry Analysis

• Stay updated on market trends, fund flows, regulatory changes, and macroeconomic factors.

• Prepare thematic investment insights to support asset allocation or sector rotation strategies.
  

4. Reporting & Recommendations

• Prepare fund recommendation reports for investment committees or clients.

• Develop and maintain fund scorecards and watchlists.

• Assist in creating marketing and client materials with fund analysis content.

5. Collaboration

• Work with relationship managers to ensure appropriate fund usage and alignment with client mandates.

• Liaise with external fund houses for updates and meetings.
