Head of Foundation Products
Roles & Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Leadership
• Define the strategic direction for the subfunction, aligning it with the overall Digital function and organizational objectives.
• Develop and communicate a clear vision and mission for the subfunction, inspiring and mobilizing the team to achieve excellence.
• Take a leadership role in identifying opportunities to radically re-engineer core processes and restructure the organization for improved effectiveness.
• Provide strategic planning and management of global infrastructure, including data centers and cloud services.
2. Operational Excellence
• Ensure the efficient operation of the subfunction, optimizing processes and workflows.
• Oversee resource allocation, budgeting, and financial management within the subfunction, delivering projects and initiatives on time and within budget.
• Lead infrastructure transformation and adoption of infrastructure-as-a-service (IaaS).
3. Innovation and Technology Advancement
• Stay at the forefront of technological trends and innovations relevant to the subfunction.
• Champion the adoption of emerging technologies, tools, and methodologies to enhance the capabilities of the subfunction.
• Demonstrate expertise in network architecture, virtualization, and storage solutions.
4. Team Leadership and Development
• Build and lead a high-performing team within the subfunction, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
• Provide mentorship, coaching, and professional development opportunities for the team members.
• Set clear goals and objectives, provide guidance, and assess performance within the subfunction.
5. Stakeholder Engagement
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to understand their needs and requirements, ensuring the subfunction's services align with these needs.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders to support the successful delivery of projects and initiatives.
• Persuade senior managers of the benefits of change, even in situations with significant resistance and potential disruption to business operations.
6. Risk Management
• Identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with the subfunction's activities, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
• Develop and implement robust contingency plans to address potential challenges or disruptions.
• Ensure skills in disaster recovery planning and business continuity management are applied effectively.
7. Performance Monitoring and Reporting
• Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the success and impact of the subfunction.
• Prepare regular reports and updates for senior management and stakeholders on the progress and achievements of the subfunction.
Education/Training Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Business Administration).
• Master's degree or MBA is preferred.
• Relevant certifications in leadership and change management (e.g., Prosci, Change Management Professional)
Experience:
• Minimum of 15 years of experience in senior leadership roles involving complex digital infrastructure transformations
• Proven track record of leading change programs with a focus on Digital and business process re-engineering.
• Demonstrated expertise in gaining credibility among senior managers and influencing strategic decisions.
• Strategic planning and management of global digital infrastructure, including data centers and cloud services.
• Leadership in infrastructure transformation and driving the digital roadmap for the infrastructure domain.
